ANC Providing 'Opportunity' For Local Students

Arkansas Northeastern College received approval to purchase a disabled-accessible, 24-seat bus that will be used to provide transportation services to lower-income students in Mississippi County, who may have trouble getting to class. The college's president, Dr. James Shemwell hopes that, "when (people) see the opportunity bus and they see people who live in their neighborhood, people who they know that are bettering their lives...they (will be) more optimistic about their future. They may decide that they want to ride the bus too".
