Mike Ford Receives High Honor from the National Association of Realtors
The National Association of REALTORS® announced today that Michael Ford of West Memphis, Ark. is a 2020 recipient of the Distinguished Service Award, the highest honor outside the presidency bestowed on an NAR member.
Ford, broker-owner of Coldwell Banker Heritage Homes, has been a REALTOR® for more than 40 years and is a longstanding member of the board of directors, serving for 23 years.
He was an NAR vice president in 2015 and Region 9 vice president in 1997. He has chaired the REALTORS® Political Action Committee Trustees Fundraising, Issues Mobilization, and Political Communications committees and served as the RPAC Major Investor Liaison in 2012. He is a two-time inductee of the RPAC Hall of Fame. Ford served as Arkansas REALTORS® president in 1995 and has remained active in his local association, the Eastern Arkansas REALTORS® Association, currently serving as vice president. He was local president from 1984 to 1986.
A lifelong resident of West Memphis, Ford was a director of the Arkansas State University Mid-South Foundation from 2003–2006 and from 2009–2012, and he has led the First Community Bank of Eastern Arkansas Advisory Board for a decade. Ford and his wife, Lesia, also a REALTOR®, volunteer for many charitable organizations including the American Heart Association, Special Olympics, Delta Arts Council, and Relay for Life.
